The Sri Lankan contingent have gone off to see their neglected wives and children. We are taking a couple of days now to re-charge and assess how we want to move forward with this project. Our feeling and that of many other Non Governmental Organisations (NGO's) that we spoken to, is that the danger of a major humanitarian post-disaster crisis, has been averted for now. While people still desperately need food and other goods brought to them, we feel that food is getting to them now via the major charity and governmental organisations and everything else will be within a few weeks. What is needed now is assistance in housing the homeless in the short term and rebuilding for the future, both physically and in terms of livelihoods etc.. which have been decimated by the tsunami. We will fill you in on where we are going from here in a day or two. Any ideas, please contact us.

The mobile clinic shall continue as before as it has been very well received and our Doctors feel they are doing a very useful job. We are starting to liase with local organisations in making the clinic as effective as possible.
