Another aid trip has departed from Wennappuwa to Trincomalee District. Hanako has been in Trincomalee town for the past four days visiting camps and liasing with administrators and refugees about what they need. Mark again did the shopping in Colombo. We are going to drop the goods at various camps in the Kinniya area, which was badly affected by the tsunami. The goods will be split into family packs and distributed according to lists already obtained. Mark, Weerasoriya and Podi Jayantha set off to meet Hanako yesterday in one lorry, Panni and myself leave today in the other. We are also distributing a large range of medicine amongst field hospitals in the district. Following the drop we are planning to have a look further up the coast to see the situation there and how we might be able to help.
