Doug arrives in Ampara on a reconnaissance mission. We have visited the area several times but each time only spent long enough to drop the aid and go. In doing so we have built up a picture and met some people and we think there is a strong need in this area. We also have the contacts here now to make something happen.

Doug has gone off to asses the situation and decide how best we can spend our money. We are looking in terms of what we see as the two biggest needs at this time: shelter and livelihoods.
